Our Mission
Nisa is dedicated to empowering underserved women, including immigrant and refugee populations, military families, single mothers, women with disabilities, and those from marginalized communities. We recognize the unique barriers these communities face when accessing wellness resources. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every woman can prioritize her health and well-being. Together, we can foster a community that uplifts and supports all women on their wellness journeys.
Who We Are
We are two Black, first-generation women from City Heights, San Diego, with a shared passion for helping underserved communities. Growing up in an area with limited resources, we faced many challenges especially when it came to mental health and wellness. After pursuing careers in mental health services, we realized how critical it is to have access to holistic support, especially for women and
children.
Community
The bonds formed through shared experiences and mutual support are the foundation of our center.
Together, we uplift one another and grow stronger as a community.
Empowerment
We believe in the power of women to create change within themselves and their communities. Our center serves as a platform for personal growth and self empowerment.
Inclusivity
Nisa is committed to serving underserved populations, including immigrant/refugees, military families, single mothers, foster mothers, and women with disabilities. We provide a safe and supportive environment where every woman, no matter her background, can feel welcome!
Accessibility
We strive to ensure that wellness resources are available to everyone. By removing barriers to access, we offer a
space where women of all backgrounds can prioritize their health.

Women face different
challenges when it comes to
fitness, whether it’s caring for
children, managing work-life
balance, or navigating the
pressure of beauty standards. A
gym that understands these
challenges would be life
changing for many of us.
